Abstract:

This paper examines the interplay of aesthetics, factual content, and fictional elements in the novels of Amitav Ghosh. By analyzing how Ghosh weaves historical facts with imaginative narratives, the study highlights his unique contribution to contemporary literature. The paper focuses on selected works including The Shadow Lines, Sea of Poppies, and Gun Island, exploring how Ghosh’s blending of fact and fiction creates a nuanced portrayal of historical and cultural contexts.
